if a song was in shrek theres no way to un-associate it with shrek its forever going to be a shrek song

Bad reputation by Joan Jett was a grrl rock anthem. It was the theme song to freaks and geeks. Jett was considered a rival to artists like Alanis Morrissette.
You know what bad reputation is?
Hallelujah was Rufus wainwright’s biggest hit, and it’s A COVER. It’s been covered numerous times, and for some reason wainwright’s version has surpassed Leonard Cohen’s version in success with audiences under the age of 30. wainwrights hit has rivaled his fathers success, the classic folk musician Loudon wainwright.
But you know what hallelujah is?
It is a sign of goodwill, my friend. Shrek song status is of the highest honor.
